Precision Pistol – Outdoor

Join us for Precision Pistol, a structured outdoor shooting discipline focused on accuracy, control, and consistency. This Olympic, International, and NRA-style format emphasizes one-handed shooting at distances of 25 and 50 meters.

Participants primarily use .22 caliber pistols, with some target-load centerfire calibers also permitted. Shooting is conducted on official competition targets, and the group welcomes a range of participants—from competitive and semi-competitive shooters to those attending for recreational practice.

Sessions are held Sundays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and include open practice across various Precision Pistol disciplines, as well as match-style training opportunities.

Eligibility & Participation Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified KDFGC member
  • Completion of the KDFGC New Member Orientation and Handgun Safety Qualification Course is required
  • Participation is by invitation only
  • All participants must complete a Precision Pistol orientation and qualification to shoot on the outdoor range
  • Appropriate firearm calibers are required

Qualified KDFGC members may be eligible for an exemption letter to purchase a .22 LR pistol specifically for Precision Pistol use.

If you’re interested in joining or learning more, please contact Claudio at precision-pistol@kdfgc.org.
